Free Software Friday - Spitfire Audio LABS Percussion

Free Software Friday is our regular Friday feature here at the dBs blog. We dig the depths of the music production and media webosphere and discover what downloadable plugin freebies are worth double clicking each week.

It's been quite some time since we last covered a LABS release from Spitfire Audio, but their latest entry, Percussion (35th in the LABS series) really caught our attention.

Synonymous with high-fidelity recordings and attention to detail, Percussion presents a collection of instruments that truly sound phenomenal. Recorded by multi-instrumentalists Edward Scull and Sebastian Truman in Rosewood Studios - a studio built for high-quality percussive recordings - this latest instalment brings together drum hits, shakers, timbales, cowbells, congas and more.

Whereas some of LABS' previous releases can only fulfil a very specific requirement, Percussion is a real all-rounder; perfect for taking centre stage in your track or filling in the gaps in the background.

Percussion is available for Windows and macOS through the Spitfire Audio dedicated plugin (VST/AAX/AU) and can be downloaded for free using the link below.
