Free Software Friday is our regular Friday feature here at the dBs Music blog. We dig the depths of the music production and media webosphere and discover what downloadable plugin freebies are worth double clicking each week.
It's no secret that a lot of us at dBs Music are massive Nils Frahm fans, so when we found out about SampleScience's new Resonance plugin, we were more than excited.
Taking inspiration from the quintessential Nils Frahm sound, Resonance combines short acoustic piano attack samples and a piano's body resonance physical model. Rich with imperfections, tones and subtleties it's an ideal companion for fast and emotive playing. You can hear it in action below.
Made up of 676 MB of samples, Resonance is equipped with multi-LFO, room reverb, highpass/lowpass filter, Amplitude range controls and three voice modes: polyphonic, monophonic, and legato.
Resonance is free to download using the link below and is compatible with Windows 7 and up, and macOS High Sierra/Mojave. It is not compatible with macOS Catalina.
