Free Software Friday - SampleScience Deep Jupiter

Free Software Friday is our regular Friday feature here at the dBs blog. We dig the depths of the music production and media webosphere and discover what downloadable plugin freebies are worth double clicking each week.

Few of us are fortunate to have the money to add a Roland Jupiter-8 to our collection. While there's always Roland's digital recreation, that exists behind a subscription, so where do you turn. The answer is SampleScience.

Deep Jupiter is sample-based analog bass sound module plugin that takes 8 public domain Jupiter-8 sounds, but gives the ability to customise those sounds into your own presets. Anyone familiar with SampleScience's work will instantly feel at home with Deep Jupiter, which sports the company's classic UI.

All sounds are multi-sampled and provide an instantaneous access to an array of bass sounds suitable for for electronic genres like synthwave, chillwave, retrowave, and synthpop. You can customise these sounds with the usual set of controls; ADSR, multi-LFO, reverb, multiple voice modes and more.

Deep Jupiter is available for Windows and macOS (32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU) and is pay what you want. It's worth mentioning that macOS users on Catalina or a later OS will not be able to use Deep Jupiter.
