At dBs Music, we're lucky enough to be part of AMS Neve's Award For Excellence program where students at our campuses have the opportunity to be recognised by an industry partner for excellent work during the academic year.

After recently announcing student, Callum Godfroy won the award on our Bristol Campus, we can now announce that after some discussion between Stu Welsh and module leader Leo Brown, it was agreed that the Neve Award For Excellence at our Plymouth campus should go to FdA Audio & Music Production student, Jack Hale.

Course leader, Stu Welsh says: "Jack is extremely self motivated student, he has excelled during the two years of the Foundation Degree in both academic aptitude and technical skills.  He is involved in many music projects outisde of college and this refelcts in his hight level of competence on a variety of equipment, including advanced skills Genesys console. A well deserved award."

Module leader, Leo Brown says: "The Genesys is central to our Audio & Music Production module on FdA AMP.  Jack deserved the award due to his diligence in ensuring he understood the layout and operation of the Genesys by being focused during classes and working hard outside of the group sessions, reading up on the resources (videos, manuals & tutorials) provided. This ensured that by the time of his assessment he was very well prepared to operate the console with confidence and a minimum level of support."
