About this role

Reporting to the Bristol FE Centre Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Administrator to help facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the Centre. You’ll offer advice and guidance on financial matters to current and prospective students, help them navigate the Centre and make the best of their time here. You’ll help maintain databases and spreadsheets, as well as organising and filing digital and physical documents. Reception duties will include answering the phone, greeting and signing in visitors, as well as making the odd cup of tea and coffee!

The role is 16 hours per week; Monday 09:00 - 17:00 and Thursday 09:00 - 17:00. Occasionally (approx. 4 times per academic year) you’ll be required to help out at Open Evenings which run 18:00 - 20:00.

About you

There is no single type of person that works at dBs Music, but we’re all passionate about what we do! Previous administration experience is essential, as well as English and Maths at GCSE grade C/4, or equivalent. You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, punctual, a supportive team member and have an eye for detail. We’re asking for applicants who are DBS Certified, or have a willingness to become Certified.

Desirable qualities include experience in a customer service environment, familiarity with an iMac as well as Gmail, Doc and Sheets, be familiar with secondary/ Further Education, some knowledge of music/ music technology.
