This week it's a soft classic based on the KORG PS-3100 Polyphonic Synthesizer from 1977. Labeled the FB-3100 it's a VST2.4 software instrument for Windows (both 32 and 64 bit) written in native C++ code and aims to be low on CPU load.
It's all designed with the same behaviour and control limitations of the original hardware, with band-limited oscillators, two-pole lowpass filters and the semi-modular patch panel. There's also the addition of MIDI Learn, where all parameters can be controlled by MIDI CC.
Hear the soft-synth in action on the track above where the FB-3100 is the only audio source plus some delay, reverb, and slight compression.
