Free Software Friday - Ample Bass Precision Lite

Free Software Friday is our regular Friday feature here at the dBs Music blog. We dig the depths of the music production and media webosphere and discover what downloadable plugin freebies are worth double clicking each week.

Freeware music production becomes a slightly trickier proposition when dealing with real instrument sounds, but there are some solid options to choose from. Today, we're looking at Ample Sounds' Ample Bass Precision Lite, a feature-limited free version of their virtual bass guitar instrument. 

Modelled on the iconic Fender Precision Bass, this free software version is versatile enough to find a home in most genres, and with the no nonsense download and install setup, it's definitely worth investigating.

Obviously, with it being a free version of a full instrument you'll be dealing with fewer samples, and a limited note range, but that shouldn't stop you creating some great tones, as demonstrated below.
