sam_jepperson_dbs_music.pngAnother dBs student making waves during their studies! This time it's Bristol FE student, Sam Jepperson who landed a superb internship with a well-known label in the drum and bass scene. We tracked down Samuel at our dBs Bristol FE campus for a few words...

Sam explained, "Currently through my studies at dBs Music I won a years internship with Run Tingz Recordings, where I have been mainly been focusing on artist and event management", explained Samuel, "but I've also been working alongside the label manager, helping organise everything they need for their latest releases. This has lead to some very exciting opportunities. Plus, by doing artist liaison at their events, I have had the pleasure of meeting top artist such as General Levy, Chrissy Criss, Da Fuchaman and many other big names in the drum & bass scene.

dbs_music_sam_jepperson.jpg "A couple months ago I also got to join Run Tingz Cru on a trip to Essex for there two-hour takeover on Rough Tempo live stream, which again is one of the biggest live streams in the industry, it was a great trip and interesting to see how these big studios are set up! This summer is looking very busy for the record label and will be joining them on there bookings for Bearded Theory & Boomtown Festival.

"I have also set up an events company called Sutra with events at Lockdown Festival and clubs around the Bristol area, plus myself and some partners have also set up Divide which has been a huge success, with Boat parties in London, clubnights at EGG LDN for the DJ MAG sessions, supporting big artist like Sydney Charles, Sante, Rich Pinder, Djoko. Then after all the event stuff I have been producing tech house music in any spare time I get. I really feel like I'm progressing now and my aim is to get signed to a small label my the end of the year!"
